Snow ice cream

Pin It Now!

Ok, so this isn't exactly an idea that you can take in a packed lunch, but we are home with a snow day today and we had such fun making this snow ice cream that I knew it had to go on the blog! The kids exclaimed that it was better than real ice cream, and even my husband pronounced it "the real ice cream of the future".

Snow Ice Cream

Approx. 12-16 cups fresh snow
1/2 cup heavy cream 1 cup superfine sugar (process white sugar in the blender) 1 tsp. vanilla - See more at: http://backtothecuttingboard.com/dessert/cranberry-and-apple-crisp-with-snow-ice-cream/#sthash.uu4kR4s5.dpuf
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup superfine sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Combine heavy cream, sugar and vanilla and blend well. Add snow and fold in to combine.  (I mixed in about 4 cups of snow at a time)

Kid Reviews:
