Fruit and Cheese Skewers

You don't have to stick to sandwich fillings when it comes to skewers, try these meat, cheese and fruit options for limitless combinations. My youngest loves cantaloupe so I put together skewers of cantaloupe, prosciutto and mozzarella cheese. My oldest loves apples, so I made skewers with apples, salami and cheddar.

Combination ideas include:
  • Prosciutto, canteloupe, mozzarella cheese
  • Turkey, orange wedges and brie cheese
  • Salami, apple slices and cheddar cheese
  • Turkey meatball cubes, grapes and feta cheese
  • Chicken cubes, pears and red bell peppers 
  • Sliced ham, pineapple and green bell peppers

Fruit and Cheese Skewers

  • Meat (optional): Sliced turkey, chicken, ham, salami (nitrate-free), prosciutto, precooked turkey meatballs or chicken sausage
  • Cheese: cheddar, string cheese, fresh mozzarella, brie, feta or swiss
  • Fruit: Melon, apples, pears, oranges, grapes, berries or pineapple
Cube meat, cheese and fruit and alternate on skewers
