Fancy Finger Sandwiches for Kids

Pin It Now!
About once a year we get inspired to have high-tea. We bake mini-cupcakes (pumpkin this year) and put together a plate of finger sandwiches. The kids love both helping to make the food and of course eating the food. It is so fun seeing them get involved and eating vegetables with glee!

We came up with a lot of ideas, but the options  are really endless. Try:
  • Cream cheese with cucumber
  • Cream cheese with berries and orange slices
  • Pub cheese with sliced turkey and carrot slivers
  • Pub cheese with sliced tomatoes and peppers
  • Hummus with lettuce and a slice of hard-boiled egg
  • Hummus with cheese and tomato slices
  • Nut butter with banana slices
  • Nut butter with apple slices
  • Jam with cheddar cheese
  • Honey with banana slices
  • Egg salad with tomato slices and black olives
  • Egg salad with spinach leaf and red pepper circles
  • Tuna salad with sliced celery
  • Tuna salad with sliced pickle

Easy Finger Sanwiches
  • Bread: English muffin, mini pita-bread or whole wheat bread with the crusts cut off and cut into fourths
  • Spreads: Cream cheese, hummus, nut butter, egg salad, tuna salad, pub cheese (I found a good version without additives at Trader Joe's), ricotta cheese, goat cheese, jam or honey
  • Toppings: Cucumber, peppers, tomatoes, lettuce or spinach, olives, pickles, hard boiled egg, cheese slices, deli meat, apples, bananas, berries, orange slices
  1. Prepare bread
  2. Top with spread of your choice
  3. Add toppings. Be creative!
Kid reviews:
